Just because it is a new year, doesn’t mean more gaming corporate move, specially new gaming studios founded by veterans of other studios and especially, coming from Xbox Game Studio and some ride all right.
As noted by VGC, Forza Horizon director Mike Brown parted with Microsoft and Playground Games some time ago to found its own gaming studio called Maverick Games.
Of course we can talk of what are they working as big main project and Maverick Games is working on a AAA open world game that will go for Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC and by the way, Brown claims that the game is well funded so basically will be interesting to follow this story.
The Staff includes chief operating officer Harinder Sangha, who was previously co-studio head of Sumo Digital Leamington, executive producer Tom Butcher, chief technology officer Matt Craven, Gareth Harwood as content director, Fraser Strachan as audio director, Ben Penrose as art director and Elly Marshall as UX/UI Director.
All these names were formerly PlayGround Games, Sumo Digital Leamington, Xbox Game Studio and Electronic Arts talent.
