Not exactly gaming but Intel is the one of the two main choices that PC gamers have to build or upgrade a computer for video games and American chipmaker Intel took its turn to report its Q4 2022 and full 2022 performance and spoiler, it ain't pretty and 2023 appears to be the same or worse.

Intel reported a $14.04 billion in revenue for the Q4 2022, a decline of 32% in comparison with last year’s report and also, the company said that booked $664 million of net loss, compared with a profit of $4.62 billion in the year-ago quarter.

Intel’s Client Computing Group, which includes Core, Pentium and Celeron processors, contributed $6.63 billion in revenue, down 36% and below the $7.68 billion consensus among analysts.

The data centers, Mission Critical and High Performance Computing business or the Data Center and AI segment reported $4.30 billion in revenue and while this is an impressive record, is still 34% in decline compared to last year.

Basically the market is in straight decline as demand for PC has been lower than most anticipated and to make matters worse, Intel didn’t risk to forecast fully 2023 as the uncertainties are in both the long term and short term.

But did mention that expect that the first half of 2023, are preparing for “economic headwinds”.
