A little later after being forced to enter an agreement to pay the SEC $35 millions on labor-related settlement, the owners of Call Of Duty franchise and Blizzard Entertainment, Activision Blizzard, has announced their Fiscal Year 2022 results.
Activision Blizzard reported in their latest report that by Q4 2022 the gaming conglomerate could amaze 2.34 billion of dollars and being more or less 200 million more of dollars in comparison of last year, it did not resonated on the full 2022 performance as the company did $7.58 billion vs 2021’s 8.8 billion dollars.
This was evident in the bookings or the other name of sales as for the year ended December 31, 2022, Activision Blizzard’s net bookings were $8.51 billion, as compared with $8.35 billion for 2021. In-game net bookings were $5.38 billion, as compared with $5.10 billion for 2021.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2022, Activision Blizzard’s net bookingsB were $3.57 billion, as compared with $2.49 billion for the fourth quarter of 2021. In-game net bookings were $1.82 billion, as compared with $1.24 billion for the fourth quarter of 2021.
Of course the heroes for Activision Blizzard were Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II & Warzone 2.0 along with World of Warcraft: Dragonflight by Blizzard Entertainment.
As a small forecast, the conglomerate expects its full-year adjusted sales to grow at least in high-single digits, bolstered by the launch of games including "Diablo IV."
Finally, the company reminded us that they are pending on being bought by Microsoft, if the transaction can survive regulators that is.
