Nintendo top subsidiary, The Pokémon Company, got somethings to tell us today and there were a great surprised that did not limited on post-launch content for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and here is the recap:
The 2023 Pokémon World Championships
The Pokémon Company confirmed that The 2023 Pokémon World Championships will be held in Yokohama on August 11th to 13th, 2023 and it is expected that the Pokémon TGC players will compete for over a half-million dollars in prizes, the title of Pokémon World Champion, and Qualification requirements for the Pokémon UNITE World Championships will be announced later.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic
There will be a Classic edition of the Pokémon Trading Card game so players from late 90’s and early 2000’s are in for a nostalgic blast from the past and The Pokémon Company promised more details soon and yes, the URL is not online as of the writing of this.
An original Netflix production
Along with the second part of the Pokémon Ultimate Journeys already available at Netflix, The Pokémon Company announced an original Netflix content called Pokemon Concierge which appears to make use of 3D and stop-motion filming with an original story.

After 4 years in the making, Pokémon Sleep is FINALLY official
While this is the first update in a QUITE WHILE, The Pokémon Company said that Pokemon Sleep is happening but we have to wait a little more to get more details.
What was shared today is that the app was intended to “turn sleeping into entertainment by having a player’s time spent sleeping, and the time they wake up, affect the gameplay.” Pokemon GO Plus connectivity was also confirmed, as the device would “use an embedded accelerometer to track a user’s time sleeping and send this information to their smartphone via Bluetooth.”
More Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC
Two new Paradox Pokemon have just been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet – specifically Walking Wake (Water/Dragon) and Iron Leaves (Grass/Psychic). They are based on Suicune and Virizion.
Also, The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero was announced as the next expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet with the return of several Pokémon of past generations.
The first part, The Teal Mask, launches in Fall 2023. That’ll be followed by The Indigo Disk in Winter 2023.
The Teal Mask has players exploring a new land as part of a school trip. The Indigo Disk, on the other hand, has players studying as an exchange student at Blueberry Academy.
