In some bad news for those who are awaiting on what is new with The Witcher game series and besides the first game’s remake known as Project Canis Majoris and the new main series game known as Project Polairs, there was a spinoff title known as Project Srirus.

This The Witcher game was slated as a game that will include a multiplayer element on top of a single player experience that will include "a campaign with quests and a story" and was co-developer with The Molasses Flood, a studio based on Boston.

Unfortunately, CD Projekt Red updated its investors with some sad news and that due to having Project Sirius to be "aligned with the strategy of the CD Projekt Group", the company has reassigned funds of the game and Molasses Flood is now out of the equation.

Now, CD Projekt is revisiting the scope and commercial potential of the original concept of Project Sirius, and ongoing work on formulating a new framework for this project or in other words, Project Sirius is back in pre-production state for easy speaking.

There are no details of when and how things got sour with The Molasses Flood, but for CD Projekt Red to scale back an already announced development, it means that it did go too sour.
