No, don’t worry owners of Gaming PC branded Legion by Lenovo, the chinese company will carry on, business as usual, but fans of the Gaming Smartphone or a special  case use of Smartphone for gamers, loses an alternative.

Lenovo confirmed this week that Legion branded Smartphones will be something of the past and will no longer develop a new device, making 2022’s Legion Y20 their last main offering while it is true that a cheaper variant, the Legion Y70 went on sale late last year.

The information was shared by Lenovo to Android Authority and with this, Lenovo will delegate their subsidiary Motorola Mobility to keep it on everything else of the mobile industry.

"Lenovo is discontinuing its Android-based Legion mobile gaming phones as part of a wider business transformation and gaming portfolio consolidation. As a leader in gaming devices and solutions, Lenovo is committed to advancing the gaming category across form factors, as well as focusing on where it can bring the most value to the global gaming community."

I always saw the Gaming Smartphone niche as a gimmick and a elitist way from Smartphone companies to captured gamers as “special customer” on their device and other companies includes Xiaomi with Black Shark, Asus with ROG Phone, Nubia with Red Magic and yes, Apple with iPhone has always touted that iOS is an adequate platform for mobile gaming as another sales point on their smartphones.
