I admit that the Q3 2023 of Sega Sammy, the parent company of Sega, went under my radar, but what a great opportunity to make up for making this happy update that the company gives to investors and has to do with the important access of EVERY company, their employees.

Sega announced that it will increase the average monthly salary of existing employees by approximately 30%, effective on July 1, 2023.

In direct math, the starting salary for university graduates will rise by 35%, from ¥222,000 ($1,632) to ¥300,000 ($2,225), due to the revision.

Last week Sega Sammy reported the results of Q3 of fiscal year 2023 with revenues ¥271.9 million or in US Dollar around $2,027,515 and ¥32.6 in operating income or $243,093, both metrics in positive and of course, Sonic Frontiers leading the charts for Sega.

Sega Sammy Holdings executive vice president Makoto Takahashi and IR/SR general manager Nobuaki Yoshii stated that despite the game’s Metacritic score being lower than it had hoped, the game has sold better than it expected.

As per a question about whether the base price of the game has not gone down (a common signal of the game getting sales traction), Sega justified it as having been able to achieve results so far while maintaining the price level to a certain extent, while acknowledging that the game only received a discount due Black Friday.

Returning to the salary raise, this was also made in part of the Japanese government's request to companies to do their part in mitigating the effect of inflation which IS NOT EXCLUSIVE IN AMERICA, as an effort on maintaining a stable economy.
