Amazon Games will also take a hit on the recent layoff that Amazon is running and originally it was thought that would impact only Twitch and Amazon Web Service. This includes Gam Growth Division, San Diego Games Studio and Prime Gaming.

The information was based on an email that CNBC got a copy sent and that was for the affected personnel.

The email also includes that some employees will also be reassigned to other projects as per business current state and needs as the arrangement priority.

As you know, the gaming industry has not been able to avoid economics which has been distorted by a post-pandemic rise of inflation starting in 2021 and making historic peaks in some parts of the world.

Amazon in particular have been running a layoff process which affected 18,000 job cuts, including last month’s adding of 9,000 more workers being laid off but strangely, Amazon admitted that while the headcounts was confirmed, not specifically job post count of being labeled as redundant which in my opinion, made this round more dramatic.
