The industry is shifting and this means also that veterans are not immune for changes and this includes one of the very first upper management of Xbox Game Studio, including Microsoft Gaming Studios’s days in the early years of Xbox.

Late last week, 343 Industries confirmed to IGN that Joseph Staten has left the studios after 18 years as part of the creative force behind the Halo franchise.

And to say Joseph Staten leaving 343 Industries and Halo is much to say as he is practically the very few original Halo team that Xbox Game Studio have even when Halo was not offered to Microsoft as of yet in late 90’s.

After the Microsoft acquisition of Bungie, he served as the  a writer and cinematic director on the first two Halo game, writer on Halo 3 and Halo Reach, and a creative consultant on the RTS spin-off Halo wars, so pretty much he has Spartan on his blood so to speak after remaining on Xbox Game Studio as part of the Bungie re-independence that they had to sell Microsoft the rights of Halo.

It is unknown what led Joseph Staten to exit the company, but he has said that he will be announcing his reasons and his future soon.
