It was just more or less than a week that we learned that former Halo creative director and one of the original Halo team since the days of Bungies, Joseph Staten, left the company to pursue other opportunities.

And the opportunity did knock.

Joseph Staten confirmed via Twitter that he has joined Netflix Games as the head creative of a first party studio that a Netflix target to be the first original AAA video game and no, not mobile gaming speaking.

The game besides being original, it aims to be multiplatform so Netflix is not choosing favorites between Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo, respectively, Playstation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch.

Of course, no more details were shared, but we have been hearing Netflix taking seriously their gaming industry chances lately, including producing their own video games and not just focusing on being a publishing head in favor of having more subscriptions for their TV and Movies streaming service, a requirement for mobile games.
