In my past coverage of Konami and its return to full-time AAA games with Silent Hill, I decided to forego mentioning Silent Hill: Ascension as Konami did not have much details about this game back then anyways.

But today appears to be a great day to finally introduce the game and Konami confirmed the concept behind Silent Hill: Ascension and it is the first entry of the series in the live-streaming interactive series.

As per developer Genvid Entertainment, the game uses a “real time interactive system that enables millions of people to help characters survive and change those characters’ fates”.

The game is about “an exploration of intergenerational trauma”, which includes “an extensive ensemble of intricately developed new characters, monsters and locations in the Silent Hill universe” and will include multiple main characters around the world as they confront horrors unleashed in their communities.

In other words Silent Hill is being welcomed to the world of Live Services.

Silent Hill: Ascension will be release this year but no platform have been confirmed but it will be fair to speculate that this game will go Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC with at least cross playing if this is going to be a live service but, coming from Konami I could be VERY WRONG.
