As part of the Warriors Collection Event, a new Apex Legends patch includes the upgrade for the current gen for Playstation and Xbox Console and while Xbox users should have all seamless thanks to SMart Delivery, Playstation 5 users need to do small steps to have the game truly upgrade.
An immediate difference is the full support for 4K with HDR and upscaling to 4K resolution at 60fps but Respawn stated that an upgrade for a 120fps support is currently in development.
Beside next-gen upgrades, Warriors Collection Event will include many fixes, particularly a flaw that allowed hackers enabling dual-wielding weapons and various glitches that could be used to exploit weapons with a charge mechanic like the Rampage LMG or Sentinel sniper, all besided new cosmetic and expected DLCs.
