The whole DMCA system was designed to eb fair for artists, but seems that back at early 2000's didn't foresee that it would be for content creation, broken to the disadvantage for streamers, gamers and content creators in general.
While Twitch has been historically part of the problem rather than the solution of the problem, I cannot deny they try.
Today, many should have received an email with Re: Introducing copyrighted audio warnings in which Twitch announces a new way to warn users to give greater awareness and control over VODs share.
So instead on deleting your infracting content, Twitch detects copyrighted audio are detected in your VODs and/or clips, you will be directly notified by Twitch, get an email you details about the copyrighted audio including the name of the identified copyrighted material and the link you to any VODs associated with that material.
You shouldn’t be surprised that now, Twitch will set your stream to unpublish your VODs by default moving forward, which should help to prevent getting caught with the DMCA Police as you can review and or download your content before publishing.
Honestly this is a good way to also have streamers and content creators to be more aware of checking their content and not just let “the internet do its thing”.
