We know that early access in gaming is another name of a beta game but with the benefit of developers to sell the game either way making the acknowledgement for the buyer that they are buying an unfinished product but promises not to pay again for the game when a stable release gets official.
Baldur’s Gate is no exception and the most recent known example was originally launched on Google Stadia and later on PC as Early Access with the full price tag of $59.99.
In an update, Larian Studios finally confirmed that while there have been some issues and delays as expected considering the current’s world event, that Baldur’s Gate 3 will have its first stable version or how the game was supposed to be launched originally by 2023.
Some were on the expectation that 2022 was the year but honestly, given the low pace of communication, hopes were too high.
Even with the announcement, Larian Studios urged for patience as development is not finished and more patches to the game are on the way and could mean that once again, progression might be erased, something that has been consistent to eager and patient fans of the derivative of the RPG Dungeons & Dragons.
