I still remember seeing the VR version of Resident Evil 4 as an implicit answer from Capcom that we should get out hopes high on seeing a proper Resident Evil 4 remake any time soon, but I guess it was just a matter of time that Capcom bulged.

As part of the content for yesterday's Playstation State Of Play, Capcom confirmed that it is developing the remake for Resident Evil 4, which debuted first as a Nintendo Gamecube exclusive during that period of Resident Evil being a Nintendo exclusive and later ported everywhere.

Essentially, Resident Evil 4 will have changes to its original storyline to align more with current gen offering but in a macro, will remain the same, as Leon S. Kennedy was contacted by the federal government after RE 2 events and sometime later, he is assigned to rescue the President's daughter in a rural area of Europe.

The game will launch for March 24, 2023 and it is bound only for Playstation 5.
