The pandemic is still official and as much as many try to have a "new normal" almost in parallel of days before 2020, definitely a novel virus in days that no antiviral is still here and vaccine had differents result, is safe to say that things like big events being postponed hsa been a "new normal".

But for Blizzard Entertainment, it seems that 2023 is "enough" as the studio has announced that it plans to bring back BlizzCon 2023 full presidential event after 2019's last one and 2022 virtual event being "paused" and probably never taking place.

Interestingly, it was not an official announcement by the company itself, but its leader Mike Ybarra taking a chance to mention in an interview with Los Angeles Times about gaming culture impacted by controversies… Ironically Blizzard of all companies using this opportunity…

To make plans fruition Ybarra mentioned that hired April McKee, known for her 20 years tenure at Microsoft, to lead all aspects of BlizzCon.

Pretty much what Blizzard Entertainment still to announce is more progress and maybe a release date of Diablo 4, which is practically already in July and all efforts going to Overwatch 2, we can safely say that Diablo 4 is not in sight at least until the second half of 2023.
