The Sci-Fi genre of the 80's and the 90's were in great part heavy on the vision that the "future" could hold and cyborgs are great protagonists and two most known veterans are of course Terminator and Robocop.
While neither of them have been oblivious to video games, particularly the classic 1993's Robocop VS The Terminator for the SNES and Sega Genesis and also their respective solo games, much hasn't happened, until now.
Enter Nacon and the renewed love for the iconics characters.
During the Nacon Connect 2022, it was presented that there are plans to bring both Terminator and Robocop games during this current gaming generation.
In the case of The Terminator, Nacon is working on a yet-to-be-titled Terminator open world game and we will first have an original story taking place between Judgment Day (Skynet provoking a Nuclear War between USA and Russia) and John Connor ascend to follow and lead the Human Resistance against the machine in a survival type game with obvious reference to the original The Terminator and The Terminator 2: Judgment Day films.
This will not be the only Terminator game but details about the second project have not been shared.
On the other side of Robocop, Nacon is working on a first-person shooter that will have original actor Peter Weller digitized as the face of Alex Murphy aka Robocop.
The game will be named RoboCop: Rogue City and confirmed by Nacom, will combine first-person shooter gameplay with exploration of Detroit and multiple-choice dialogue.
There is no release date target for either Terminator's game project but Robocop: Rogue City will be launched in June 2023 targeting Playstation 5 and PC.
