MiHoyo is ready for what is next for the Free-To-Play jRPG Genshin Impact and prepares to dive into new maps and having new characters at your disposal with the Sumeru update coming on all available platforms.

Chinese studio MiHoyo had shared what to expect for Sumeru, the next big update for Genshin Impact and will include a rainforest section and a desert one, respectively including a lot of mountains/tropical flora & ruins and oases, as well as caves.

New characters introduced are Collei, Tighnari, and Dori but it remains to see if all will be available immediately, during gameplay of post Version 3.0 launch, including their abilities.

Uncommonly, MiHoyo has stated that there is a "tentative" release date of around August 24, 2022, which this should be taken as date could not be final if development suffers major hiccups.
