Evidently there is always a new opportunity mainly for the workforce in the desire to continue working and of course this applies in the gaming industry too where other studio’s employees that have been displaced find another opportunity.
VGC has learned that Chad Grenier, known for being the Game Director of Apex Legends has founded Wildlight Entertainment as a new gaming studio and of course it has been hiring people that left Respawn Entertainment and Activision with people from Titanfall and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare.
From the REspawn Entertainment side, the gross of the people dates of 14 months since leaving the studio.
Key people includes Mohammad Alavi, the former Modern Warfare and Titanfall designer and was involved in the Titanfall/Apex Legends crossover that got canceled, Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends lead designer Carlos Peneda, design director Jason McCord, art director Jose Zavala, environment art director Robert Tuabe, lead technical artist Michael Cook and several others.
While Wildlight Entertainment has not given much details on its first main project, staff assured that the project is fully funded and already in development since a while ago so, we might be hearing during the E3 season, this year.
