In a surprising announcement made on Tuesday, Tencent, the gaming conglomerate based on China and the gaming and computing accessories giant Logitech, will be having an interesting partnership that will benefit some big players of Cloud Gaming these days.
Tencent Games and Logitech are working on a dedicated cloud gaming device that will be designed with physically embedded controls and buttons instead of the typical cases you attach to phones.
The device probably will be presented soon as it is slated to be launched on the market late this year.
The partnership already has Microsoft and Nvidia aboard as the device will be supporting out of the box Xbox Game Pass Cloud and GeForce Now as cloud gaming service and it remains to see if we can see Stadia and Luna (Google and Amazon respective services) joining soon.
As you know, Cloud Gaming has become a new "medium" on playing video games without the need of an hardware to process the game with just a PC, device, console or as simple as a web browser as a medium and not having the game physically played and have been quite a debate between conservative gamers that what started with OnLive and Gaikai should have never happened.
But Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon and now Sony, have indirectly agreed that Cloud Gaming is the newest medium.
You can register to the dedicated website here if you are interested in knowing more and including the official reveal of the device.
