Reggie Fils-Aime’s book is no doubt a must-have for books and gaming fans, and while I will be in the market soon for his and other related gaming books, details are becoming public by the same former Nintendo Of America president.

This time, Reggie Fils-Aime in an interview with Inverse, revealed that as head of Nintendo Of America, was leading an initiative that would have Nintendo follow the steps of Xbox with the Adaptive Controller, to have their own concept.

But not as immediate competition but to actually serve as a bridge to gamers with physical limitations to play not only on a Nintendo Switch, but a Playstation 4 and a Xbox One.

Imagine an adaptive controller that you could play with your latest Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo platform. That's what we were working on three years ago.

[I don’t know if Nintendo is still working on that.] But also, my hope is that controller — and the ability for that controller to connect with all of the various systems — is launched and shared with consumers as quickly as possible.

It is known that Nintendo added support of Steam for PC players with the Nintendo Switch’s joy-cons, so this shouldn’t be far away.
