Twitch has raised Twitch Turbo monthly fee from $8.99 to 11.99 (USA/Puerto Rico) for a experience of ZERO advertising, which for me it is confusing on why then streamers and content creators are encourage on less screen time in favor of ads in the first place.

Lately, I've been getting a bunch of graphics designers advertising their services to me in my chat while I'm live. Personally, this annoying and frustrating, especially when they start off with a basic conversation and jump right to business. The reasons for my annoyance?
1. I'm streaming, this not the time nor the place to be discussing this. You can clearly see I'm busy.
2. I don't know anything about you, who you are, what you're like, if you're trustworthy, you're an unknown person flogging their wares.
3. I get a tiny veiwership, you really think I get enough money doing this that I can pay someone to make me graphics?
4. I've actually told them they can post stuff in my discord to advertise to my community and I'd go have a look when I'm not busy. No takers, they want to close the deal there or nope out looking for their next mark.
5. When I say I don't have money, they try to advertise a payment scheme to me...Wtf? Also I'm still streaming!

Your content will suffer if you are always watching your numbers. People could be viewing your stream for the first time at any time, so first impressions are crucial. You must engage your viewers from the moment they enter your stream, or you risk losing them permanently.
Talking to your viewers, a cool feature or effect on your broadcast, or simply the general banter in your stream between all those who are in it are all methods to engage your viewers. You're in control of creating the best possible content and establishing your own communities.

Keep in mind that you are both a seller and a product as a streamer. That is to say, your content is a product that you must constantly market to any potential viewer. You will start to fail when you cease aggressively attempting to develop your product or sell yourself.

Never be scared to seek assistance from people who may be able to assist you. Have you noticed a cool feature that someone has? Most streamers are eager to assist you include it into your broadcast if they aren't selfish. This also applies to techniques to make money without begging your viewers. When you're constantly attempting to sell something else, it's difficult to sell yourself and your content. Sure, if you're a big-time streamer, you can get away with it, but what has Gfuel done for you as a smaller streamer or content creator?

Understand the distinction between networking and spamming. I'm sorry to break it to the majority of you, but if you're always in other people's discord or on other people's websites advertising your links without really engaging with the community you're posting in, you're not networking, you're spamming their community. They will not want to click your link if you spam communities because they have no idea who you are.

Rather than spamming, attempt to interact with individuals and their communities. Those who like you will be intrigued to learn more about you and will be more likely to check you and your material out after they get to know you. Better yet, reach out to another creator to see if you can work together on a video or stream, become a guest on someone's stream or podcast, and provide value to each other.

As a streamer or content creator you have inadvertently become a business person. 👀

You're selling a product, marketing, advertising, networking, designing, and producing.

You are an entire company in one person. ❤️

Surprisingly, Twitch announces a new incentive program so that qualified affiliates and partners can have direct income thanks to advertising to be streamed during broadcasts.

The advertising incentive program seeks to motivate the user to allow more advertising with a direct and secure compensation starting at $100 and up to a cap of $500 if the streamer reaches 40 hours and allows a certain amount of ad time to run for each hour.

For now Twitch has not specified the requirements to be invited to the program outside of being an affiliate or partner, but you are supposed to receive a notification in the Ads Manager area if you are chosen.

so i had a clothing brand contact me today with an offer to be an affiliate.
i was interested so asked for more details.
the 1st line of there reply was to qualify you need to buy Merch at a 25% discount.
i was like nah not interested now and told them that if they were serious they would offer to send me out merch for free for me to review and decide if it was something i felt was good for me and worth advertising on my channel and socials.

So I have something I want to try this weekend, Fam;
Extra Life is advertising a charity event this weekend (Aug 21-22) focused on Tabletop Gaming and I'd like to participate. Since I work on Sunday I could only do it for one day of the event, plus it would be my first charity stream, so I'd set my donation goal pretty low; around $150 maybe. But it's also really short notice to build up some steam and promote it. I also have no idea what I'd do, other than it would have to be tabletop related; maybe get a few friends together for some TTS or something? I really would like to hear your opinions! What do you all think?
