En incredible pero predecible nota, Nintendo oficializó el cierre de las tiendas digitales de las mencionadas consolas de videojuegos para el próximo mes. A partir del cierre no será posible ni comprar títulos nuevos NI TAMPOCO usar créditos y todo crédito debería ser transferido al Nintendo eShop antes del cierre. Sin directamente comprometerse, Nintendo indicó que usuarios que hayan hecho inversiones pueden volver a bajar sus contenidos por el futuro predecible y en resumen, Nintendo justifica esta decisión por la merma de uso que ha estado viendo en sus métricas.
