Right after Ubisoft Forward, eyes from many gaming communities, particularly Cloud Gaming fans, were on Google and how Stadia will respond that the first major game from Ubisoft (Assassin’s Creed Mirage) will be the first one Missing In Action since Ubisoft and Google partnered.
Instead, Google just took the WHOLE WEEK to just announce new games gaining a Cloud Gaming version for Stadia.
The first one is Arcade Paradise, developed by Nosebleed Interactive and published by Wired Productions and in this game practically an Arcade Manager Simulator where your character decides to convert your family-owned Laundry Center, to the newest Arcade spot.
The second game announced is Martha Is Dead, also published by Wired Productions and developed by LKA, released this year, is a dark first-person psychological thriller, set in 1944 Italy, that blurs the lines between reality, superstition and the tragedy of war.
None of the game has an exact release date on the Stadia Store (Arcade PAradise is slated for Fall 2022 and Martha Is Dead for Winter 2022), but the announcement-to-launch history of Stadia, I may dare to speculate, is not too long from happening.
Features went live with no much fanfare
Much like it was the case of Stadia Streaming capacity being weeks old and Google THEN decided to announce, we have some new features that are running up with NO ANNOUNCEMENT.
Being already part of the string reference on the APK code of the Stadia Android app, it appears that Google have deployed the 1440p native capacity of Stadia at least for the Web version.
Some users are reporting that the new screen is appearing, but appears to be a Stadia Pro only feature and not appearing for non-Pro users.
If you are on a metered connection, you are a Pro user and the options appear, keep in mind the warning you get that the capacity could mean a 14.4GB/hour consumption.
It is unknown if the capacity will reach Chromecast Ultra 4K, Chromecast with Google TV and set-top boxes with Google TV.
From Space delayed
While not a Stadia exclusive, From Space was a game that was also being launched in parallel with other platforms, but Triangle Studios unfortunately confirmed that they have found the need to take more time to polish the game and there is a hope that the game still launches for 2022.
