While it is not the promised expansion that will bring another set of missions but at the hand of Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier, Crystal Dynamics did announce that a prior Update, Patch 2.6 was in queue and delivered.

Prior to Marvel’s Avengers next big update, Crystal Dynamics decided to have some fixes before adding new content.

This includes giving a fair amount of time to escape any follow-up attacks after a big blow received and avoid characters to be vulnerable without much control, but also granting priority back to the initial enemy attacker who won’t have their own attacks interrupted by collateral damage.

The technical aspects of the patch is that all heroes are getting some needed rebalancing and adjusting Heroic abilities, with every Hero receiving at least one buff to a Heroic.

A new Activity is activated with the update:

“SHIELD has detected a great power source coming from an AIM lab in the Utah Badlands, and it looks like Monica is running the operation herself. Assemble your Strike Team and take her on in our new Elite Villain Sector, which rolls out on 9/20 in Update 2.6.”
