These past few days have been quite interesting, including how many new features Twitch announced to be implementing and testing just days later after its CEO justified the reduction of the streamer payout forumal, even to big streamers, because “a network of its side is hard to maintain”.

But not focusing on that, but on what is Elevated Chat, a new feature that is not officially being deployed but tested with viewers that already have the capacity.

A TLDR, Eveletated Chat is YouTube’s Super Chat essentially.

The function allows any member of your audience to pin a message for visibility if they're willing to pay for it.

A payment of $5 will elevate their message for 30 seconds, while $10 will get them a minute. If they want 1.5 minutes, they'll have to pay $25 and the costliest tiers are 2 minutes for $50 and 2 minutes and a half per $100.

While some might think that this is just the same, well it is not and SPECIALLY the top tiers give more time on YouTube and while this is not a big issue in my opinion, definitely showcase how Twitch wants to capitalize monetization aspect with things going in their favor.
