While things are rolling in Year 2 for HITMAN 3, IO Interactive unfortunately needed to announce an expected mode, the Freelancer Mode, is not going live for what is left of 2022 in a roadmap update.

In a blog post, IO Interactive confirmed the delay of Freelancer Mode for HITMAN 3, where rogue-like elements are added on campaign missions and players can customize the safehouse of Agent 47. 

This is the second time that the mode is delayed and to prevent any further delays, a Technical Testing for PC users (via Steam), will be offered before the kickoff of the Freelancer Mode massively.

The Freelancer Mode will come as part of the game’s update by February 26th, 2023 and will be FREE for everyone who bought the game.
