Epic Games legendary FPS shooter Unreal Tournament has a special place in many gamers heart and Unreal Tournament 3 released back in November 2007 and six months later to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
And after 15 years of launching, Epic Games surprisingly announced Unreal Tournament 3 X, which will be an updated version of the game that will go free-to-play and with crossplay with GOG, Epic Games Store and Steam.
Some users noticed that all Unreal Tournament games, including Unreal Tournament 3, had disappeared from storefront to give space for Unreal Tournament 3 X to enter the fray soon.
Unreal Tournament 3 is a first-person arena shooter video game developed by Epic Games and originally published by Midway Games in 2007 and was slated to be the great example of the capacities of the Unreal Engine 3 that was the graphical engine of most great games of the 7th gaming generation (PS3/Xbox 360/Wii).
Epic Games will purge servers of some games
With this, Epic Games confirmed that it was shutting down multiplayers servers for:
- 1000 Tiny Claws
- Dance Central 1-3 (Dance Central VR online multiplayer will remain available)
- Green Day: Rock Band
- Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess
- Rock Band 1-3 (Rock Band 4 online multiplayer will remain available)
- The Beatles: Rock Band
- Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
- Unreal Gold
- Unreal 2: The Awakening
- Unreal Tournament 2003
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Unreal Tournament 3
- Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
The shutdown of these servers will occur on January 24th 2023.
