For Square Enix, it is time to move on when the time came and sold their western studis to Embracer Group, one in  particular named after its former parent company Square Enix Montreal, tasked with porting many SE’s main IPs to mobile world.

But for Square Enix Montreal it is time to move one and it was announced that they will be known as Onoma from now on.

This is following from being acquired along Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal by Embracer Group and considering over 165 names and the final decision was Onoma, which is the greek of Rebrand Squad and rightly so.

Now with the new name in mind, the studio will now reorganize as an umbrella to multiple products, programs, and initiatives, each with distinct personalities, but no new and main project was announced.
