More ease and peace in the offices of CD Projekt Red as Cyberpunk 2077 finally reached a state that probably would have been different if it was happening in December 2020 when the game was released.
The Patches, hotfix and then the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime were the salvation that Cyberpunk 2077 needed and the proof is the announcement that CD Projket presented today.
For a month in a row, daily users active in the game’s servers have been 1 million users minimum or going more specifically, for 28 days which at minimum, could make up to 28 million sessions each day.
Recently, the game managed to reach 20 million copies sold.
A TLDR recap, after a massive marketing campaign and 8 years later after the initial reveal, Cyberpunk 2077 was release with the game in a state of having collected unchecked bugs that ruined the gameplay adn was the only known game in Playstation history to be delisted from the PS Store due the state of the game and Xbox history to be the first game to have a “performance issue warning” prior to be bought on Microsoft Store.
A few months ago it was reported that CD Projekt Red could not be entirely at fault as a QA (Quality Assurance) company called Quantic Lab failed some of its task and could have exaggerated their bug’s finding and fixing to land more contract, accusation that its CEO have defended the company to be a one-sided story.
