Early this week, Xbox Game Studios or more specifically 3434 Industries, need to update us on things going one behind the scenes of Halo Infinite and this is what we should be expecting in near future.
While Halo Infinite had a rocky 1st year and was about to close the first circle of the Sun in November, 343 Industries had some news, including the long-awaited Forge Mode.
The Forge Mode will arrive as part of the Winter Update that will go live on November 8th, but it was warned that it will be a BETA and not a final release, so Spartans need to be aware that there are known and unknown issues.
As part of big transparency, 343 Industries acknowledges that during the BETA, every new content will stay on the game regardless the end of the BETA and that includes the Forge Mode itself.
For those new to Halo, Forge Mode is a game mode originally released in Halo 3 and was designed to allow players to customize, save and share maps for custom games.
Forge was originally created to be used by players to make relatively simple changes to maps in order to tweak their gameplay experience and became extremely popular.
The good thing is that the Forge Mode of Halo Infinite will not be behind any paywall when the stable release gets official.
up to eight players will be able to play Forge together, though it also notes that a last-minute bug means players have to all start at the same time. 343 is currently working on a fix which will allow players to drop in mid-session.
Meanwhile, there will be support for matchmaking in custom maps via community but is not ready yet and 343 Industries has asked for a little more patience for this one as well as the research on adding AI to Forge Mode to incentivize an Player-vs-Everyone experience.
Finally, Certain Affinity who has been a tremendous ally and now a permanent partner in co-developing Halo Infinite, has revealed that they are working on something unannounced for the game and it will be a first for Halo in general and have a staff of over 100 people so far, being the biggest of the three project currently working with 343 Industries.
