We knew that Discord coming to full support within Xbox was in the way and finally has been included in the recent Xbox firmware update with more improvement for Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X owners.

As expected, a full experience with discord is the main dish of the Xbox November Update as it includes Discord features, with players now able to join voice channels directly from their Xbox console.

As an added feature to Discord, there is a smart noise suppression functionality which Microsoft describes as it blocks background noises like barking dogs and clicking keyboards while continuing to clearly transmit your voice. If you prefer your audio unfiltered, you can turn it off in the Discord call Options section, but beware that people are gonna complain that you are a distraction.

Xbox November Update also introduces wish list gifting and sale notifications which mixed social networking aspects with the Microsoft Store, including gifting game codes to others.

Talking about social, there is a new Captures app offering “improved viewing, management, and editing” features. These include increased bitrate for playback of 720p and 1080p clips on Xbox Series X/S, and the ability to copy game clips and screenshots directly to an external drive.

Finally and a little bit more on social networking, now Xbox gamers can start livestreaming directly from the Xbox console to Twitch, Lightstream and Streamlabs.
