A new week and a new chapter in the lore of Fortnite, that includes of course a new map for the Epic Games’s Battle Royale and this is all what we can expect from the game including collaborations from other gaming studios.

“In the fourth Chapter of Fortnite's Battle Royale, go forth in a new realm and get around in new ways — ride a dirt bike, roll in a snowball, launch yourself with the Shockwave Hammer, and hurdle over obstacles. Power yourself up with Reality Augments and claim territory for your squad, leaving behind Banners to declare what’s yours. And of course, venture with newly-forged weapons.”

The new island includes dozens of new locations including a towering castle called The Citadel, nestled in the snowy mountains is Brutal Bastion and across vast farmland is Frenzy Fields.

Augmented Abilities are the biggest change to the gameplay of Fortnite. Now, at certain intervals during a match, players will be offered the choice of two random Reality Augments.

These augments give the player certain benefits, such as making certain weapons reload faster, or the ability to redeploy for the rest of the game. The longer a player remains in the match, the more augments they can collect.

Technically speaking, Fortnite Chapter 4 is the start of more integration of Unreal Engine 5 and players can expect  features as Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, and Temporal Super Resolution, introduced on Unreal Engine 5.1.

Of course, Fortnite has been getting strong on collaborations and players purchasing the Season pass, will be able to play as the Doom Slayer, from Id Software's Doom and Doom Eternal, Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher will also be available as an in-game skin later in the season.

Also pending for a specific date confirmation, Mr. Beast, Hulk and Deku from My hero Academia will be all playable in Fortnite.
