The 2010’s was the decade when Android and iOS were already proving that a world of basic phones was likely done and there are more worlds where BlackBerry originally envisioned and the first main mobile games came from Rovio as we met as Angry Birds.

A full franchise with 5 spinoffs, a full sequel along two movies and more than a decade later, Angry Birds needs to get off its roots.

While we can spend a whole article about Angry Birds history, the main and important thing right now is that the original game will be removed from Google Play Store and while at the Apple App Store the game will go away, it will be rebranded as “ Red’s First Flight”.

Rovio justified the move as strange as it sounds, the game was just impacting the performance of their wider games portfolio.

Is not the first time that the original Angry Birds game was removed as it was indeed removed in 2019 as a testing procedure that Rovio claimed it was running at the time and then a relaunched version of the game with a “Classic” labeling was released in April 2022.
