It is true that Capcom released a proper Resident Evil 4 VR version for Oculus that was just the original game mapped on Leon S. Kennedy’s Point Of View, but now Capcom shared some news for gamers, about Resident Evil 4 Remake and PSVR 2.

Capcom confirmed that VR support of Resident Evil 4 Remake for the PSVR 2 has started development.

The official Biohazard account on Twitter (Resident Evil’s real name in Japan) has stated that the upgrade for PSVR 2 will be a free one and will not be behind a paywall and pretty much, the case of Resident Evil Village when it gained VR support on applicable platforms.
