After both Xbox Game Studio and Bethesda went silent on the release of the next big franchise for Bethesda and implying a window of January-through-June launch for Stafield, it was revealed that it was not the case.

The most recent video from Starfield official YouTube page confirms the September 6, 2023 release date with the promise of a proper Starfield Direct taking place on June 11.

Ironically, the June 11 date was actually one of the rumored timeframes where Bethesda expected to launch the game.

With this, it is the second time officially that Bethesda delay the release of the game, being the first one on May 2022 after admitting the game will not be ready for the Novembre 2022 release and stating by then, that the game was foresee to be release on first half of 2023, of course, with today’s announcement that would not be the case.

As for the Starfield Direct, Bethesda said the event is aimed to give players a deep dive into the game, probably never-seen-before details of the game and maybe, some launch and post-launch expectations as the game will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X (no Xbox One, Series S this time).
