While it is not the end of the Netflix TV Series adaptation based on the polish novel book series The Witcher, Season 3 is the last Season with Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and this time, we have a double header as the season is split into two parts.
Netflix not only released the teaser trailer for Season 3 of its take on The Witcher, the last of Henry Cavill as Geralt Of Rivia before having Liam Hermsworth taking the role for Season 4 and onwards.
The surprise is that the Season will be divided into 2 parts, the first premiering on June 29 and the second on July 27.
Liam Hermsworth landing the role of Geralt Of Rivia beginning on Season 4 was part of the surprising exit of Henry Cavill which was attributed to Cavill’s dislike of showrunners ignoring more and more the source, The Witcher novels by polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and adding more creative liberties due “disliking the story”, something that Lauren S. Hissrich, the showrunner on Netflix's The Witcher series, has denied in the past.
Of course and for those who doesn’t know, this is the same The Witcher of the game published by CD Projekt Red as their first franchise in collaboration with Andrzej Sapkowski, in which the video games take place years after the novels as accordingly, the games should have not be a deterrent of people reaching out the books but The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is often seen a big introduction service to the books.
