It is still earning report seasons and while not the way Activision Blizzard wanted to start the day with the UK blocking their attempt on being sold to Microsoft, they have reason enough to be happy at the end of the day.
Activision Blizzard declared the Q1 2023 to be their biggest yet as the company landed a $2.38 billion in revenue, 32% up from last year and a WHOOPING $740 million income or 87% compared to last year.
All three subsidiaries, Activision, Blizzard and King, presented positives these past three months, specially in the mobile segment and the champions of the quarter were Call of Duty, Candy Crush, Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo.
Speaking of Diablo, the future outlook has Demand indicators for Diablo IV, which launches on June 6, are strong, but the company acknowledges that they will not go for chances and prepare for anything going in a different way.
Preorders of the game were also a big factor in the numbers from Blizzard Entertainment.
In another important aspect of their outlook for the rest of the year, of course it will be all Call Of Duty and not only because of the 2023 COD game (aimed to be a full expansion for Modern Warfare 2 remake), but the launch of Call Of Duty Warzone for Mobile, also expected to have incentive for Warzone 2.0 to play it in parallel.
