Just in time for EVO, Riot Games finally decided to give how the development state is for Project L as their next big game, in a blog post this morning and some of the mechanics, including the first fighter confirmation.

Tom Cannon, one of lead developers who authored the article, announced that the Kraken Priestess Illaoi is one of the playable fighters of the final product of Project L and also that Project L will have NO cost when it launches.

With Illaoi's confirmation, the game already counts with six fighters after the confirmation of Ahri, Darius, Katarina, Ekko, and Jinx.

As expected on F2P games, gamers should expect monetization but Riot has promised that it will be in the sense of respect on the balance of time and wallet, pretty much aligned with LEague Of Legends and their derivatives so far.

Pretty much the article highlights Project L's mechanics describing what to expect on players using Illaoi including the fact that each fighter's abilities are unique and can be a difference in battle.

Already announced since 2019 at the 10th anniversary of League Of Legends and Riot as a whole studio, Project L is a fighting game centered in the League of Legends universe and will have a 2D format, but with today's update, there is no official release of the game and Project L is still in early development.
