While the E3-less E3 season starts in June, Sony is not wasting time with Playstation taking the lead in the hype for what’s in store for Playstation in 2023 and the future and we got the first show in the form of Playstation Showcase 2023.
Officially it will not be a steroid-ed State Of Play but a proper show called Playstation Showcase that will serve as the opening of the (my so-called) E3-less E3 season for Playstation side.
Sony confirmed that PlayStation Showcase is over an hour long and will focus on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world and this includes a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios and of course, third-party partners and indie creators.
From what I am reading in the Internet and bending my no-rumors rule for this blog (sorry, again…), is that Konami will be the strongest 3rd party announcing a follow-up for the previous announced Silent Hill games and the reveal of the remake of a Metal Gear Solid game, which Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the strong one and ALL will be either exclusive or timed-exclusive for Playstation.
BTW, streamers and content creators, Sony has warned that they have no problem if the gaming community wants to co-stream the event, but they don’t control possible copyright music/content as some of the presentations do have copyrighted elements.
Regarding Co-streaming and Video-On-Demand (VOD)
Please note that this web broadcast may include copyrighted content (e.g. licensed music) that PlayStation does not control. We welcome and celebrate our amazing co-streamers and creators, but licensing agreements outside our control could possibly interfere with co-streams or VOD archives of this stream.
If you’re planning to save this broadcast as a VOD to create recap videos, or to repost clips or segments from the show, we advise omitting any copyrighted music.
