As a reminder, Katsuhiro Harada is not the creator for Tekken, but its producer and more than willingly to take the mantle of being the public relationship for the game and this week, served as an example that not even the Europe branch of his employer are free of some scolding when deserved.

In a now deleted tweet during late Saturday night, Katsuhiro Harada implicitly confirmed that the Bryan Fury announcement as a playable character at Tekken 8 launch that went on early Saturday night WAS NOT THE CORRECT TIMELINE.

The official announcement was supposed to be live in the official Bandai Namco Esports coverage of the Combo Breaker 20023 Tekken 8 tournament and then, on-demand on YouTube.

While reportedly Harada tweeted:

“What the xxxx Bandai Namco Euro[?]

That’s why I warned you years ago not to post on a timer. Well, I’m going home now, thanks! Ha ha ha.”

Bandai Namco Producer Michale Murray also apologized to fans acknowledging that things were not as planned:

Tekken 8 still has no official launch but meanwhile, playable characters confirmed in the game includes Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, King,Paul Phoenix, Lars Alexandersson, Marshall Law, Jack-8, Nina Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, Leroy Smith, Asuka Kazama, Lili, Hwoarang and Bryan Fury.
