At least, I am an oldschooler gamer and movie fan that have fond memories of the Robocop movies, mainly the original Robocop movie and I remember seeing the TV series that has some “get the heck outta here elements”.

Of course, I welcomed a BRAND NEW VIDEO GAME and finally, we got some new details of the game, thanks to a new preview trailer that was released early this week.

The timeline of the game is within the movie’s universe and not some alternative timeline as I thought (which wasn’t an issue for me anyways), but the events of the game takes place between Robocop 2 and Robocop 3, where Alex Murphy a.k.a. Robocop will lead the offensive against a new dangerous criminal that is gaining much support from other criminals of Old Detroit.

The whole Robocop: Rogue City content is enough for a 20 to 28 hours of gameplay including side quests, multiple endings, dynamic dialogue that can change post events, make things more pacific or conflicting and multiple endings.

Beside following straight to the main lore, Robocop can conduct investigations, find clues, make arrests during the game and also, can use multiple weapons and armors as well upgrade the,.

As you remember, Nacom announced back in summer 2022 that it was releasing the game, featuring a combination first-person shooter gameplay with exploration of Detroit and multiple-choice dialogue, originally slated for a June 2023 release now for a September 2023 release.

The firsts video game based on Robocop in YEARS will feature also the digitized face of original Robocop actor Peter Weller (Robocop 1 & 2), including his voiceover.

The game will be coming out in September 2023 and currently can be wish-listed on Epic Games and Steam for PC as well the game is coming for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
