Being in the mouth and having conversations in the wrong way is pretty much the TLDR of the status of Twitch these days. And days after a staff member decided it was a good idea to hijack Harris Heller’s stream to call him wrong about Twitch without using the explicit word “wrong”, this is the first new thing since.
While everybody was expecting that Twitch re-introduce a 70/30 split for content creators eligible to monetize their content, Twitch announced Partner Plus as a new wall to actually “comply” with wishes, but is JUST ANOTHER STEP to make things more difficult than easy.
The new program that will give streamers an increased 70 percent of the share of their subscription revenues up to the first $100,000 brought in each year, with Twitch taking the other 30 percent.
The “only requirement” for the Partner Plus program (besides being already Partner) is to have 350 recurring paid subscriptions for three consecutive months.
Twitch confirmed that the program will start on October 1st and streamers that already comply three months prior will be upgraded automatically, which pretty much means the top guys/gals get even hired and those who struggle to reach vanilla Partner will have to grind more to be treated equally.
Umm… my only comment is that Twitch creates a new problem resolving another….
