Just last week, a Sega executive announced that the Japanese gaming veteran was actually scaling back all Web3 and NFT gaming projects so that it could do it without violating any previous agreement.
While it was fair to say that it was mentioned that Sega will comply with all projects that have some prospect, this new announcer does come at a weird timing after the Web 3 dismissal.
Just a few days after this, Sega now announced that is licensing an ‘immensely popular’ IP for a new web3 game with the gaming block chain Game Dosis, which pretty much question the future of Sega as validator of Oasys, the origins gaming blockchain that was practically one of the originals.
Game Dosi is a Web3 gaming platform that “provides user- and game-centered services.” and while Sega has limited his NFT presence on just that and not allowing further use, it remains to see what this grand IP will be about.
