So, this escalated quickly and rumors began circulating early morning about possible identities of members of the hacking group known as Lapsus$ apparently it is a worldwide group with a base at London, UK.

BBC News reported that seven teenagers were arrested by the London City Police in an operation related to an investigation about Lapsus$ and the probability that they are either members or the core members of the hacking group.

There were reports that the presumed actual leader of Lapsus$ was already identified locally and the teenager’s parents admitted that they knew he spends a lot of time with his computer and he was an advanced user, but were unaware that his knowledge allowed him to be part of the collective headache of Nvidia, Samsung, Ubisoft, Microsoft and Okta.

The alleged suspects had an age range from 16 to 21 years old.

It is suspected that beside the seven teengarers detained at UK, there is also the possibility of more members around the world and there are immediate rumors that there is another teenager based in Brazil.

Honestly, teenagers hacking IS NOT SOMETHING NEW and I am amazed how this became uncommon at the start of the 21st Century as many big hackers in computing history were teenagers or early adults during the 90’s and the Internet wasn’t as accessible as it is nowadays.

Be prepared for this to be a renewed trend friends!
