Many things can be said about PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or simply PUBG in its 5 years history, including being one of the original Battle Royales and how the game transitioned to make their developers be bought by a proper studio called Krafton.

While I don't want to dive into PUBG’s history, it is amazing how 5 years went fast with transcending out of PC to mobile games and finally consoles & Stadia.

Krafton now wants to celebrate with user and since this week until April 6 (April 4 on PC), users can have free loots that includes:

PUBG 5th Anniversary outfit set

  • XP boosts
  • 5th Anniversary Spray
  • Contraband coupons
  • Level coupons
  • Polymer
  • Bengal Tiger parachute*
  • PUBG 5th Anniversary Pan skin

*Requires a 3 days login streak but is NOT a permanent item for your inventory (makes no sense to me honestly).

Enters the NFT

Surprisingly, this is not the only news at the 5th anniversary of PUBG as Krafton announced that they will be integrating contents to be sold as NFT in the blockchain of Solana Labs, who offers themselves as a cheaper alternative for Ethereum, marking yet another gaming studio that wants to have crypto as part of game’s economy and real life economy.
