Changes continue within Blizzard Entertainment as part of the restructuring of Activision Blizzard in preparation for the Microsoft’ buyout and for those waiting for Diablo 4, still it is unknown if this means good news or bad news.
It was the same Vicarious Visions that confirmed via a tweet that has already informed their employees that they are now being absorbed as an inner studio of Entertainment and from now one, they will be focusing on Blizzard’s games.
We've officially merged with Blizzard Entertainment. Our development team will remain in Albany, NY and fully dedicated to Blizzard games. We invite you to follow us @Blizzard_Ent

Of course, they are the studio that is currently sharing the work of development for Diablo IV and while it is a good news in part that more talent will be helping finish the game, the company being technically no more leaves another footprint in the gaming scene where independent studios are less and less bigger.
Vicarious Visions, was founded in 1991 by brothers Karthik and Guha Bala, know for being a big porter of heavy duty games to Gameboy Color since the second half of the 90’s and after being bought by Activision in 2005, the trend continued with games like Ultimate Spider-Man, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.
Their last work as an independent studio was Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, and for supporting last September’s Diablo II: Resurrected.
