We are still in earning reports season for the current quarter and 2K and Rockstar games parent company Take-Two Interactive have cloud gaming fans with radar on as their take on the new concept for gaming is generating more interest than resistance.

For those who have followed cloud gaming and Stadia and during the Fall quarter of 2020, Take-Two Interactive have stated that cloud gaming might not be the future at all and that their experience with Google Stadia is that Google overpromise and under delivered on a quick recap.

Now in May 2022, things have changed at least in the cloud gaming concept for Take-Two as in their recent earnings reports covering Q4 and fiscal year 2022 for T2, the company now believes that cloud gaming will be a strong opportunity in the future reaffirmed its commitment to cloud streaming on Stadia, PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The latter two referring to PS Plus Premium and Game Pass Cloud gaming.

It is fair to note that CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned that these distribution channels are still a small part of their business.

Elsewhere worth noting during the earning call is that the company expects continued growth as the Grand Theft Auto franchise has been the traction of earnings in general and appeals on the strong pipeline of games currently in development and hopes that it can close its Zynga purchase later this month.

Finally, between 2022 and 2025, we should expect 30 games that will include originals and remakes/remasters.
