A few weeks ago, there was some noise where a proper and original Iron Man game (not based on the movies) was in development before being canceled and we just hoped that somebody gave some news.

Electronic Arts has actually answered our calls.

A new Iron Man video game is being developed by EA Motive, a Montreal first-party studio and currently it is in early stages so, probably we are like a year or 2 for some in-game engine footage.

Part of the staff includes its leader, Olivier Proulx, who had just recently worked on Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy and the team also includes  Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier as industry veterans as well team members from both Star Wars Squadron and the remake of Dead Space.

While there is no details on storyline use or if this is a complete original story game, EA is looking to “channel[ing] the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enable players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man”.

No release date windows for the (I will dare to call) Marvel’s Iron Man and neither what platforms the game will launch although I wouldn't rule out that this game is next-gen only.
