I guess that you might say that hell is beginning to freeze when Twitch is doing something that probably will be marked as generally accepted and maybe welcome in regards to payback for Affiliate and Partner streamers.

Twitch announced today a pilot program where Affiliate and Partner in Argentina, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan, will begin to be paid at the $50 threshold, not the typical $100.

Amazon's streaming subsidiary claims that this will immediately impact at least 70,000 streamers and content creators.

The move was justified as an attempt by Twitct to continue focusing on building a trustworthy, accurate, and globally accessible experience for everybody.

The pilot will start on July 15th and expect that more markets will be integrated soon and all payment methods, except wire transferring as this payment method is not included in the reduction and will still require $100 as minimum.

Interestingly, Twitch did not mentioned that they keep a cut that usually is/was a $25 capped fee for "financial spengins that Twitch invest first" and looking at the updated FAQ, there are no mention of this cut, so we have to wait and see when North America particularly, the reduction takes effect.
